Wow... what is old is now new

Now Christy Clark is Premier Christy Clark... yeah!  The socialist hordes are thrown aback... Alise Mills is taking us to new heights (as if she wasn't before).  The BCNDP are doing their smears and they're spitwads against a tank.

But the BCNDP are now having social media issues again.  Apparently the twitter account DavidEbyBCNDP has sprung up.  The account links to various Eby participations in social media that clearly are controversial.  This is after a massive controversy of the BCNDP demanding social media passwords last March that I put up on YouTube.  See below:

Personally speaking since there have been some allegations about DavidEbyBCNDP I prefer NOT to use joker twitter accounts.  My modus operandi when controversy arises or evidence needs to be put into social media is to just staple the evidence to a video, send the video to YouTube and promote the link.  Regular followers of ChristyClarkFan know this.

Finally I hope at some point to post the BC Privacy Commish's interview on C-FAX to YouTube... she's behind schedule in getting the investigation done it seems.  Hmmm...

Rankings... Memberships & Mine

First, these are my personal views not that of Team Christy.  I can assure you Team Christy doesn't have a fixation on fighter planes like I do... or a need for Blogger.

Pie chart of new memberships

Second, see that chart... notice how Dr. Stillwell dropped off of it... and how Ed Mayne should also be off... sadly this is how things worked out in memberships.  The more the merrier and I attempted to be fair in the colour scheme.  Congrats to all candidates... thanks to all who carried memberships before the leadership.  This campaign really comes down to Clark-Falcon-De Jong.  Everybody else is simply put, irrelevant

Third, here are my rankings:
  1. Christy Clark: Right stuff when necessary, but wants to be liked.  A personality that makes you feel safe w/o a dosage of fear, somebody who you just ask yourself "who could possibly hate her".  Policy that's reflective of the public will and moderate, not ideological.  A track record of service to the party from developing the party that won so many seats in 2001... to beginning the decimation of the BCTF and replacing that force & voice with those of taxpaying parents... being pro-school choice.  Clearly has some policy heft, but no HST baggage while wanting fiscal responsibility.  People find that she's one of them and I want to see the BCLibs shrink the BCNDP in 9/2011... not keep it close like Falcon will in 2013.  Strong party with air dominance please.  Oh and a nice side helping of Bullybuster is sweet too!
    .
  2. Kevin Falcon: There is nothing about Kevin Falcon that is nongenuine, fluffy, hidden or soft - WYSIWYG literally.  So if you see bad poll #s as much as you want Gordon Campbell V 2.0 or Mary Polak w/o the curves or since Alise Mills is not on the ballot... sure, go with Falcon.  But prepare for a close but winnable election night... and also I ask he please stop dropping the N-bomb on Christy.  It's "negative, negative, negative" as Alise would say plus it makes him sound two things they are not: Desperate & dumb.  With his youth & vibrant networking skills he can run again and win a leadership + quite a few general elections in the 2020s.
    .
  3. Mike de Jong: De Jong is the wild card here.  Whomever he picks may decide this race.  Or with many, many 2nd or 3rd picks he can win this thing.  Problem is, who knows what will happen in the general except de Jong will go win, both fists, into the fight.  We don't know how it'll end, but I'm confident de Jong can pull off a win in the general if it was against anybody but Farnworth.
  4. Dr. Moira Stillwell: Nice lady, but not catching fire.  Can't win a general w/o that.  Huge difference between cancerfighting and fighting the socialist hordes... sorry.
  5. Ed Mayne: The way this man has been treated for quitting in the middle of a term instead of at a term's end... of changing vectors and dropping in late... versus the out & outright scorn for Christy Clark speaks volumes.  Not about him, but his critics' sexism and/or bias and/or envy.  Him dropping in so late makes him unlikely to move up.
  6. George Abbott: I'm just going to say this: There is no chance he can win a general, there is no chance he can win the Premiership after the sickening treatment of the Christy Clark campaign last week by his people - an early warning to Christy Clarh HQ that irregularities were on ballots would have shown his team-playing skills.  Many feel likewise.  I hope he ends up down here on ballots.

Thoughts on Abbottgate

First, please watch the YouTube to understand what I am about to blog.  Thanks!

Second, now that you have I want to make three points:
  1. Campaign Research Inc. was hired to do a "campaign plan".  Well, you don't have the media contact you directly... although they were the subject of a PublicEyeOnline blog post.
  2. This clearly speaks to the lack of integrity in George Abbott and his campaign.  Lack of integrity in the infamous "kuma sutra" sexual innuendo comment, lack of integrity in having a senior member declare YBCL (Young BC Liberals) support w/o consulation and certainly lack of integrity in issuing public warnings or at least campaign-to-campaign warnings about the zero-day attack on BCLib membership registry if not lack of integrity for setting Christy Clark up.
  3. I call this a zero-day attack because like in the computer world there are people who do nothing else but look for software vulnerabilities.  Most are good mensches and report the loophole so measures can be taken, but some exploit the vulnerability for malware or viruses or theft or at the least just plain mischief.  It sure doesn't speak to one's integrity to sit mute on the threat of a zero-day attack as one is clearly unfolding...  WikiPedia has good details on what a Zero-Day attack is if you want to go technical.

Not "Infighting", Debating

Just taking issue w/ CKNW headline on story of Kevin Falcon vs. Christy Clark's policy differences...

Let me be clear: This is NOT infighting.

This is NOT dropping the N-bomb or throwing caucus under the bus or being Anklebiterott and saying "not credible", "no real plan" about another candidate - now that is infighting, this is two honourable people having honest disagreements.  Sadly only one can win...

This IS what leadership campaigns are all about.  Clearly MLA Falcon wants caucus to decide who and when drops the writ... Christy Clark understands that she doesn't want to be the next Ujjal Dosanjh or Ernie Eves and overstay an acute honeymoon as an unelected premier.  Now, this means invalidating 85 (eighty-five) elections... but the public sees it as 1 (one).

She's right:  "I am not going to wait until the very last minute before I take the time to go out and ask British Columbians if it's okay for them to have a new Premier."  Good for her.

Expect if she wins, writ-drop in September synchronous w/ Ontario.  BCNDP will have new leader, hopefully Dix but likely Farnworth, as well.

Personal Thoughts on Egypt...

Not much, except...

@ChadPederson Exec Director of BCLibs is right: Watching #Egypt, considering how lucky we are in #Canada to have the most powerful freedom tool of all - a ballot.

Also if Mubarak is toppled (likely will be), let's hope this doesn't end in an Ayatollah on the Nile and the Suez... it's a real scary mess.

Hopefully my neck of the woods realizes that we're lucky the choice is between free enterprise & socialism in British Columbia, not National Democratic Party Arab socialists versus likely Islamofacists.  I think British Columbians should note it really wouldn't take much for the BCNDP to go Mubarak NDP...  already, the BCNDP has a track record of anti-free speech sentiment from the human rights commissions to the muzzling of abortion protestors to shutting down debate on the Nisga'a treaty and the list goes on...

Now is a time to pause.  To reflect.  To realize that the threshold between humanity's World Wide Web and becoming Hosini Mubarak ain't much...

Testing... Testing... Testing...

I'll leave testing the MiG-29s to KILO-7 at KPAE...

MiG-29 Takeoff highres - Jeremy Dwyer-Lindgren

But this is a Super Hornet.  I intend to play pundit w/ my buddies and work towards a "soft kill" connectivity shutdown of the BCNDP socialists. Some of whom drive MiG-29s or take the Trans-Siberian to work it seems.
